Privacy Policy

Yonsei RAUM Clinic ("the Clinic") respects the protection of personal information and complies with Korea's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and related laws. This policy summarises how the Clinic handles personal data.

1. Purposes of Collection

The Clinic collects and processes personal data for the following purposes.

  • Receiving and responding to consultation reservations
  • Performing medical treatment and managing medical records
  • Providing event and procedure information (with separate consent)
  • Handling inquiries and dispute response

2. Retention Periods

Personal data is retained for the periods required by Korean law.

  • Medical records: 10 years (Medical Service Act, Article 22)
  • Prescriptions: 2 years (Enforcement Rule of the Medical Service Act, Article 15)
  • Inquiry records: 3 years (Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce)
  • Marketing consent records: until consent is withdrawn

3. Third-Party Disclosure

The Clinic does not, as a rule, share personal information with third parties. Exceptions apply when the data subject has given prior consent, when required by law (e.g., claims to the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service), or when referral to a partner medical institution is necessary (with prior consent).

4. Processors

The Clinic may engage third-party processors (for example, electronic medical record system vendors) under written agreements that mandate data protection obligations. The Korean version of this policy lists the specific processors and the scope of each engagement.

5. Your Rights

Data subjects may request access, correction, deletion, suspension of processing, and withdrawal of consent. Please contact the Data Protection Officer (below) in writing, by phone, or by email; the Clinic will respond without delay.

7. Effective Date and Amendments
